Aggregator / distributor
The company that delivers your files to the DSPs and collects.
Distributor, aggregator — in independent talk, the entity that sends audio and metadata to stores and collects. DistroKid, TuneCore, AWAL, The Orchard, Symphonic, and a long tail. Some are utilities. Some are partners. They do not own the song unless the contract says so. Read whether they take a percentage or a subscription, how they handle Content ID, neighboring rights, and takedowns.
