The facts attached to the file. This is how you get paid.
Title, writers, publishers, ISRC, UPC, genre, language, recording location, featured artists, correct spellings including accents — metadata is the record of the record. Bad metadata is unpaid royalties, missing credits, and supervisors who cannot find you. Match the title across DSP, PRO, MLC, and the one-sheet. Do not put your Instagram in the track title. Do not keyword-stuff features you did not record.
