The Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC) licenses and pays mechanical royalties for matching audio streams and downloads in the US under the MMA. If you are a US publisher or self-administered songwriter, you should have your works in The MLC's database with the right splits and identifiers (ISWC, ISRC connections). Your PRO does not do this job. Your distributor may or may not help. Leaving works unmatched is how money sits in a black box.
