Split sheet
Who wrote what, signed, dated, before the mix leaves the room.
A split sheet records the percentage of the composition each writer owns, plus publisher info, IPI numbers if you have them, and signatures. Do it the day you write, not the day you get a sync offer. Default in many rooms is equal splits unless you agree otherwise — what matters is agreement, in writing. Producers who contribute melody or lyrics are writers. Without a split, you cannot register, you cannot license, and you will fight.
