Performance royalty
Money when the composition is performed in public, including many streams.
Performance royalties are collected by PROs (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, PRS, etc.) when the song is played on radio, in venues, on TV, and on many digital services. Writer share and publisher share are separate. If you never opened a publisher account, you may be leaving half on the table. This is not SoundExchange, which is about the recording on digital radio.
